Bulldozer Bearing Carrier

We had to fabricate a new bearing carrier for an old bulldozer, as the old cast iron one had been shattered many years before and had been crudely welded back together.

We turned the new housing on our South Bend lathe. Then using our manual Bridgeport milling machine, we drilled the mounting holes, then drilled, tapped, and decked the main sprocket for re-assembly.

This relatively simple job will keep this old machine pushing dirt for years to come!
