Stage Truss Compatible Projector Lift
This is a mechanical lift which designed to be used with standardized stage truss hardware. Our client asked us to design this as a way to elevate heavy projectors.
The lift uses 4 ball screws to smoothly elevate a payload of up to 200 pounds from about 4 feet to 7 feet in the air. Under normal operation, the lift is bolted to a large base plate, which aids in stability. The lift was designed to be very rigid and stable, even at maximum extension.
The client opted not to paint or anodize the lift, as the tool is always covered during use as part of the event décor.
We batched out the components on our milling machines, built electronic control hardware to safely operate within minimum and maximum limits, and assembled a device that our client has been using for years now without issue.
